Language Structure

Arhka's vast and long history has muddled the languages between cultures a bit. The Teregians use a largely Japanese-sounding language, making use of consonant-vowel combinations. However, because of their ties with Vampires, the Vampire language (closer to English in its combinations of consonants) is still intermixed in their own.

Some names, such as Arhka, are remnants of a language from an extinct ancient race. Teregians and Vampires picked it up from the humans, who had picked it up from the ancient race.

Dragons and Derus both have a language structure based more on the ancient race's, with double vowels and double (even triple) consonants galore. The language structure of the ancient race also contained many silent letters, making the written form look far more complicated than its spoken form. Much of the silent letters have been filtered out from the Dragon and Deru language branches.

In Volume II: The Forgotten Past, many of the names of the aliens become known. They use apostrophes instead of spaces between their names, and their last names are always spoken first. Last names are two letters only.
